Installing from the Atlassian Marketplace

To install, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Atlassian Marketplace page for Add Another.

  2. Buy or evaluate the add-on with a free 30-day trial.

  3. Enter the details on the New evaluation screen and generate a license.

  4. Download the jar file. Now, log in to Jira as an administrator.

  5. Go to the Administration icon and click on it.

  6. Locate Add-ons from the menu and click on it.

  7. Click on Manage add-ons.

  8. Click on and upload the jar file.

Create a new Add Another custom field

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Issues.

  2. Under FIELDS, select Custom fields.

  3. Click Create custom field. Make sure to select All to view the available field options.

  4. Select the new “Add Another” type of field you want to create and click Next.

  5. Add the details for your field.

  6. When you have entered the field details, select Create.

  7. Add the new custom field to one or multiple screens by ticking the corresponding box and click Update.

Configure your Add Another custom field

  1. Go to Jira Administration > Issues.

  2. Under FIELDS, select Custom fields.

  3. Find your existing Add Another field and click on Configure.

  4. In the 'Add-Another Configuration' section, click the 'Edit Configuration' link.

  5. Fill in required configuration fields in order Add Another field to work.

Configuration:

  • Add Another Field Description: description text to be shown above the Add Another field.

  • Destination Issue Type: the type of issue that will be linked to the issues created via Add Another field.

  • Source to Destination Link Type: the type of issue link that will be created between the current issue and the issues creating from the Add Another field grid.

  • Default Current Project: The default project that will be set to the issues created via "Add Another". (Can be override by the user)

  • Field 1-4: fields to display in your Add Another field grid.
