Use the “Create Linked Issue” button to quickly create and link a new issue with a pre-defined project and issue type from an existing issue.

Issue linking allows you to create an association between two issues. For example:

An issue may relate to another.
An issue may duplicate another.
An issue may block another.

Your Jira administrator can customize the types of links that you can create.

To create links on issues, you need to have the Link Issues permission in the project(s) to which the issues belong.

Fields to Copy

You can choose to copy field values from the source issue to the destination issue, according to the fields in the destination issues create screen and user permissions.

The values will be auto populate to the create issue screen opened via the button.
