Easily create issues from your requirements

The JCreate Requirements Macro allows you to create an issue attached to the content of your requirement, showing you exactly where it starts and where it ends.

Add the JCreate Requirements Macro

  1. Create a new page or Edit an existing page

  2. Insert the JCreate Requirements Macro

  3. Write your requirements content

  4. Publish or Update the page

  5. Find the requirement on the page and hover it to see the “+ button for creating an issue in Jira

    • Select a project and issue type and the full screen will be loaded

    • Summary and Description fields will be filled automatically with the requirement content

    • Headers will be mapped to issue Summary and paragraph will be mapped to Description

  6. Create the issue!

  7. Issue indication will be added to the left side of the requirement, hovering it will show all the details about the related Jira issue.

Nested Bodied Macros in another Macro is not supported in Confluence Cloud

In order to associate new issues with the Confluence page properly, make sure to provide Confluence app id in app configuration.

 

Insert Jcreate Requirements Macro in Bulk

One-click conversion: transform all elements in page into requirements macros.

  1. Go to any page in Confluence

  2. Use the Jcreate menu on top right corner of the page

  3. Choose “Auto Insert Jcreate Requirements Macro”

  4. When done, a pop-up message will show and the page will be refreshed

  5. Now you can work with Jcreate to create Jira issues attached to your requirements!

Auto insert Requirements macros will work for pages with max 150 elements.
