How to write RTL content in Confluence Cloud?
RTL for Confluence Cloud adds an “RTL Macro“ to your Confluence site, allowing you to extend the capabilities of your Confluence pages by writing content from right to left.
The RTL editor provides an option to work with right to left rich text editor inside Confluence Pages and support the following:
RTL paragraph and headers
Font style and sizes
Simple lists, bulleted lists, numbered list
Tables
Bold/ Italic/ Font colors and background
Text Alignment
Emojis
Images
RTL content search
Links
It improves user experiences and accessibility for users who use right-to-left languages (Arabic, Farsi, Urdu, etc).
Add the “RTL Macro” to your page
To add a macro:
When editing, select + from the toolbar (or type / in your keyboard)
Find the macro by name and select it
Use the edit button to open the RTL editor
You can also type / on the page to bring up the same list you'd see by selecting from the toolbar. Continue typing the name of the macro to filter the list.
To edit your RTL content, use the edit icon to open the RTL macro editor
You can also select the centered, medium-width, and full-width icons to adjust the width of some macros. Select the trashcan icon to remove the macro.
Known limitations
RTL Macro data is not shown in Atlassian Export to Word or PDF
Not Supporting nested macros (using other macro in RTL macro) due too technical macros limitations
